Updated International Trademark Registration Forms

01.02.2021

The forms for International Registry of Trademark have been updated. The documents used to make a request for international registry of trademarks under the Madrid Protocol are available on the website of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The Madrid Protocol offers trademark owners the possibility of having their trademarks protected in several countries, including most European countries, the USA, Japan, Australia, China and Russia.

The main changes to the forms include changes to the structure of the document, which allows, for example, detailed information on the existence of several applicants or new holders.

Additionally, the notes for filling in the forms were also updated. These are intended to guide users in filling in the forms, avoiding irregularities and are available for the 10 most common forms.
