Medication will now be reimbursed on the spot for elderly people on low incomes

Elderly people who benefit from the Solidarity Supplement for the Elderly (CSI) now have an immediate discount on the purchase of reimbursed medicines. 

CSI beneficiaries will no longer have to pay the full amount and will now receive a 50 per cent discount on the non-participated portion of the medicines. With this measure, it is also no longer necessary to apply for reimbursement.

In addition to this support, those who benefit from this solidarity supplement are still entitled to:

• reimbursement of the cost of glasses or lenses (75 per cent of the cost, up to a limit of €100, every two years)
• reimbursement on purchases of removable dentures (75 per cent of the cost, up to a limit of €250, every three years)
• free dentist/stomatologist consultations at the health centre, via a dentist voucher.
