Social Security launches support for children and youth in need

12.09.2022

The Social Security Institute (ISS) has launched the "Childhood Guarantee" support, aimed at children and young people aged between 3 and 18 who are included in the 1st family allowance bracket and whose household is in extreme poverty.

The support is a complement to the family allowance and consists of a benefit that guarantees the payment of a total amount of 70 euros. Payments of this support will be made together with the family allowance in September and the amount to be received will be accounted for from July 2022.

The ISS also updated the family allowance brackets, which can be consulted on the Social Security website. This update is also retroactive to July 2022, and the amounts will be paid during the month of September.
