Mutual recognition services for goods in Portugal available online

As of today, October 12th, it is possible to request online the mutual recognition of some goods through the ePortugal portal.

Mutual recognition is a European principle that ensures that any goods legally sold in one European Union (EU) country can be sold in another EU country.

For now, the online request for mutual recognition is available for the following types of products: 

• precious metals
• weapons, essential components, ammunition and accessories
• measuring instruments
• non-harmonized fertilizers
• used machinery
• tin objects
• construction products
• food supplements.

It is expected that this list will be extended to other types of products in the future.
