ePortugal celebrates fifth anniversary
Launched on 14 February 2019, the ePortugal public services portal is celebrating its fifth anniversary and has had over 97 million hits in five years.
With more than 2,200 services and 630,000 registered users, the portal has been a fundamental link between citizens and the public administration. Currently, more than 610 organisations are present on ePortugal, and citizens can quickly find information about services online, by telephone, video call or at the counter.
In these five years, ePortugal has already registered:
- 10 million authentications realised
- 1.7 million changes of address on the Citizen's Card
- 670,000 Citizen Card renewals completed
- 640,000 company services carried out.
Last year, the Agência para a Modernização Administrativa (AMA) launched a virtual assistant on the portal, using generative Artificial Intelligence, making it one of the first solutions of this type of technology in public administration.
In 2019, ePortugal replaced the Portal do Cidadão, bringing together the services that were available at the Balcão do Empreendedor and Portal do Cidadão.
