Animal feed – authorisation for producers of derivatives and by-products of feed
Any company wishing to produce derivatives or by-products, such as feed materials, must apply for authorisation from the National Authority for Animal Health (DGAV).

Documentos and requirements
The authorisation must include the following information:
- company name or trading name;
- legal form;
- tax identification number (TIN);
- address of the registered office;
- contact details (phone, mobile phone, email);
- nature and breakdown of the derivatives and by-products produced;
- location of the activities;
- name and qualification of the person responsible for production;
- name and qualification of the person responsible for quality.
Procedure
You will need a means of authentication
To prove your identity, you must use one of the following means of authentication:
- Citizen Card;
- Digital Mobile Key (CMD);
- a lawyer, solicitor or notary’s digital certificate.
Once you have your chosen means of authentication to hand, follow these steps:
- Click on ‘Access the service’ on this page.
- Log in using your means of authentication.
- Complete the form.
- Attach the documents.
- Submit your application.
Examination of the application
- The form and the documents will be examined by a member of staff.
- If everything is order, the authorisation will be granted.
- If there are any errors, you will be asked for further information or to correct the documents. Once the applicant has provided this information, a new examination is conducted to ensure everything is correct.
How much
It is free of charge.
Validity
There is no expiry date. The activity may be suspended or cancelled if the operator does not comply with its legal obligations.
